Although tin was the favourite for pastry and cookie cutters, the fifties saw plastic arriving with pastel shades of cream, green and pale blue.
By the sixties, red and yellow had replaced the cream and green and by the seventies, orange, brown, beige and mustard were the norman
Most were the traditional round crinkle ones for mince pies, cookies, biscuits, tarts and little pies, although other shapes followed.
