Cooling racks
To prevent soggy bottoms, all cakes and pastries need to be cooled on a cooling rack.
Vintage wire or retro steel, they came in a range of shapes and sizes for all different baking requirements. No self-respecting home baker would be without one.
Whilst most are square or oblong, some are circular or oval.
Our favourites are the decorative round wire ones which come in the shape of flowers. Sadly, they are few and far between, but keep looking !
