Plastic cutlery trays
By the end of the fifties wooden cutlery trays were beginning to fall out of fashion, aside from ones made from laquered beech.
In came the pastel shades of blue, yellow, cream and pink. Most were soft plastic and pierced with a series of round, oblong or lattice holes.
As the sixties came along, the colour palettes became brighter with blue, yellow and sometimes red. Plastics often became hard and solid and by the seventies colours had moved to orange, brown, beige and avocado.
