If ever there was an example of post Festival of Britain modernity, it was Pyrex's Gaiety range. A perfect palette of primrose, aqua and pink, although the latter made way for a piercing coral.

Pyrex used the popularity of this range and applied simple motifs to the colours. The Snow flake range also included a vast array of milk glass covered in black flakes.

Also popular were the Cinderella bowls in both the Gooseberry and Clover or Shamrock designs.

Although they kept the traditional round casserole dishes, more sweeping curves were to be found in their vegetable dishes and oval casseroles. Stylish, sturdy and perfect for any retro kitchen !
