Preserving accessories
The boil temperature for jam and preserve making is crucial for the right set and we have some great vintage brass ones by Brannen to help you get great results.
Bottling and canning was a favourite method of preserving until freezers were invented, and Brannen also made long tin thermometers which could reach to the bottom of a large Kilner jar. To pack the fruit and vegetables soundly, a canning or bottling press would be used.
