Mepal Rosti
Lovers of vibrant colours from the sixties and seventies will be bowled over by the Rosti collection of melamine utensils and kitchenware.
Few manufacturers were brave enough to include purple in their range, but Danish Rosti saw it as an in-vogue, must-have psychadelic colour. Combined with red, blue and yellow it completed their sixties colour palette.
When Rosti realised that their vibrant sixties melamine kitchenware was being used to serve food as well, they saw the opportunity to extend their range into some simple tableware for the kitchen or breakfast room.
With mixing bowls being used for salads, and milk jugs for juice, the perfect complement was simple beakers, butter dishes and egg cups and side plates.
Some of the items were only available in the later seventies colours of brown, green and blue.
This range oozes Scandanavian style with its simple curves and stylised utensils.
