Trugs & baskets

Every kitchen gardener needs a traditional basket or trug to carry the fruits of their labours.

Baskets come in cane, rattan or wicker and a variety of shapes from oblong through to lozenge-shaped. Flower baskets are traditionally shallow so that stems of any length can lie flat along the length of the basket.

For the lover of tradtional trugs, we have the Sussex. Made from white willow and chestnut they closely reemble the shape of a coracle. Originating from the Roman times, ours are a little more recent !
