Bourne Brown
Bourne Brown was Denby's earliest and most traditional tableware, although they didn't brand the range for many decades as it was the only glazed tableware they produced. The name was taken from the Bourne family pottery that eventually incorporated Denby.
Its colour and simplicity just screams farmhouse kitchen - and the colour is based on original stoneware bottles and treacle glazed jars.
It is by far the rarest of the four Denby ranges that we stock, but the earlier pieces come in products and shapes that were not repeated in later colours: Jelly moulds, oval casserole dishes and splendid mixing bowls.
The very earliest pieces simply have the word Bourne stamped into the base.
