Decorating

Cakes were decorated with more than icing - especially if you were not particularly creative. Little Nutbrown cocktail cutters could produce stars, leaves and a multitude of shapes. Candles and cake frills would add the finishing touches.

Of course, there's much more to the artistry of food than simply cakes.
