Polish enamel pots & pans
With cream and white being the usual colours for British enamel, the arrival of the vibrant colours from Poland in the sixties was hard to resist.
Unlike many British kitchen accessory manufacturers who started with canisters and diversified into other products, Polish enamel started with coffee pots, teapots and pans but didn't produced canisters, flour and bread bins until later.
So on-trend was Polish enamel that Habitat stocked the ladles, skimmers, coffee pots and steamers in red and blue colourways.
Many people don't just have Polish enamel in the kitchen, but enjoy using it on camping trips, too !
