Polish enamel storage
With cream and white being the usual colours for British enamel, the arrival of the vibrant colours from Poland in the sixties was hard to resist.
Unlike many British kitchen accessory manufacturers who started with canisters and diversified into other products, Polish enamel started with coffee pots, teapots and pans but didn't produced canisters, flour and bread bins and cheese and butter domes until later. Each was adorned with a name in a stencil typeface.
However, unlike other items Polish enamel repetoire, the canisters, bins and domes were only ever produced in dark blue, red and white.
