Treacle glaze stoneware

Pearsons of Chesterfield had been producing stoneware for the industrial and domestic market since 1810.

In the sixties they took advantage of the flower power trend of looking to the Victorian era. Pearsons revived their treacle ware range and updated the range for the modern era.

Concentrating on solid kitchenwares, they upped their game to enter the oven to tableware market that Pyrex had so readily exploited with casserole dishes and pot-bellied casserole pots and their very popular individual casserole or hotpot dishes.

Their other nod to the past was in the form of their Glazed stoneware pots and jars with a variety of typography.
