Doverstone Heather
Doverstone Heather was the creation of Staffordshire Potteries. Fresh from their successes in the sixties with their psychedelic pottery mugs, they used the squat and streamlined shapes to create functional seventies tableware far removed from bone china.
Using the seventies palette of chocolate brown and beige, their Heather tableware was solid and functional with sufficient style for the dining room as well as the kitchen.
The range was extended into cups and saucers and lidded wares where the heather dominated and the chocolate provided the accents. Further development saw a range of geometric, floral and kitsch nursery designs adorning the plates, cups and bowls.
